16th May 2013 - Fine Cut

Organisations are now able to enter this year's Label Industry Global Awards, according to myprintresource.com.

The awards ceremony, which is in its tenth year, rewards and honours businesses and individuals in the label industry who show business excellence and best practice. All those in the labels industry are able to enter, including printers/converters and suppliers.

There will be four categories to this year's awards. These are the R. Stanton Avery Lifetime Achievement Award, which recognizes values and vision. The Award for Innovation, The Award for Sustainability and The European Converter of the Year Award.

Entry for the awards are free, however submissions will need to be entered by May 31st, with short-listed finalists being announced in June after a judging at the Finat Congress which will take place at Munich, Germany.

Talking about the awards, Mike Fairley, chairman of the judging panel, told labelsandlabeling.com: "As the label industry's very own Oscars, I would encourage entries from suppliers, converters and printers across the globe. The standard of entries is always high, but it is an effective way to benchmark and demonstrate your best practice and commitment to excellence against your competitors."

A ceremony for the honours will take place on September 24th at the Event Lounge in Brussels, Belgium.
