We are excited to announce the recent installation of the UK’s first SwissQ print Impala LED printer. Providing unrivalled print quality, the new SwissQ adds to the already impressive manufacturing capabilities within our print division.
The 2.5 x 2m flatbed printer has been configured to provide complete flexibility and the finest print detail, including six colour channels plus white, varnish and primer – allowing for high quality prints direct onto substrate including metals, wood and plastic. Printing high quality industrial graphics for diverse industries ranging from the medical sector to automotive industries, the new LED Impala is our second SwissQ flatbed printer, highlighting our dedication to print perfection.
Digital print manager Simon Tourle comments:
“While the original Impala exceeded all our expectations of digital output quality, UV curing still presented limitations for high precision work on more challenging substrates, due to the media distortion caused by the high temperature curing process. The new Impala LED has delivered a noticeable step up in speed, thanks to acceleration of the printing process itself and the LED curing, which removes the need for warm-up and cool-down cycles between jobs. Our flatbed productivity has more than doubled.”
