Recently engaged reality TV star Kim Kardashian has had a custom verse engaged on her engagement ring.
Kris Humphries, her fiancee, revealed what the engravings said in People magazine.
He said it took him a while to find the right phrases for the monster-sized engagement ring, but that the final phrases were "perfect." His thoughtful approach may encourage other loved-up people hoping to propose to have laser engraving on their own ring.
Humphries confirmed what he had written on the ring: "There's one verse [Proverbs 31: 10-31] about the perfect godly woman...The other, [1 Jon 3:18] is about love. It took me...a few days to pick them out and research the perfect ones."
Furthermore, Style Bistro revealed the full verses, which read: "Who can find a virtuous woman? For her price is far above rubies. The heart of her husband doth safely trust in her, so that he shall have no need of spoil," and: "My little children, let us not love in word, neither in tongue, but in deed and in truth."
Another engraving, slightly more sickly than the Bible verses, read: "K [hearts] K."e
Not only did Humphries plan the proposal well in advance, he also picked up the engagement ring and the engravings early. He sought guidance from one of Kardashian's closest friends, Jonathan Cheban, on the proposal.
"I wanted to ask him what he thought," Humphries admitted, stating: "A while ago, I called him and told him, 'I have to do this, I have to propose, I want to do this!'"
