Advanced Engineering division sold to Shape Machining

10th January 2018 - Fine Cut

Following successive acquisitions and a renewed focus on its core ‘industrial graphics’ business, Fine Cut Group announce the sale of Fine Cut Advanced Engineering to Shape Machining Ltd.

With further investment in its state-of-the-art print, engraving and manufacturing facilities along with an increasing number of graphic brands under the groups umbrella, Fine Cut decided it was time to concentrate operations on its core business function and realign its offering to the services and products that it is renowned – industrial graphics.

With recent acquisitions, including rally plate and car regalia market leader Dragonfly and distinguished bookbinding tool manufacturers P&S Engraving, Fine Cut’s stable of specialist graphic brands and divisions now encompasses the entire industrial graphics market. With some of the UK’s most advanced manufacturing facilities, including the latest UV flatbed printers and high precision laser cutters, Fine Cut can now offer a hugely diverse set of graphic solutions including cutting edge labelling and marking solutions, graphic overlays and membranes, nameplates, precision engraving, laser marking and cutting services to name but a few.

Commenting on the sale, Fine Cut’s Managing Director, Peter Tyler said “This was a great fit for both parties, and I have confidence that all of our Mould and Engineering customers are in good hands. As one of the UK’s leading Industrial Graphics suppliers, we wanted to improve our focus on Laser Cutting and Marking, Labels & Nameplates, and Digital Print, enabling us to explore more opportunities in this area of our business.”
