Factory Production Optimised
Monday, 20 July 2009
Fine Cut is currently in the process of optimising the factory space to improve production techniques and streamline manufacturing processes so jobs are printed more efficiently.
Because we have the ability to manufacture a wide range of products at Fine Cut, including labels, nameplates, laser engraved plaques, engineered tools and bookbinding equipment, our factory space is full of important equipment and machinery for the different divisions which sometimes make the simple process of printing a label often more difficult than need be. With this reshuffle we have decided to concentrate the different departments of the company into clearly defined areas so jobs will be manufactured in a clear streamlined process in turn improving on quality and service.
Firstly, our 'Direct Digital Process' will be expanded, so Digitally Printed Labels will come straight from the Digital Press through our finishing department and out the door with the speed required in todays digital market. This will allow our Advanced Engineers to grow in their own separate space where their Rotational Mould Tools and EPS Mould Tools require more room for manufacture as their reputation for quality grows and orders continue to increase. Finally the engraving and marking department have navigated around the factory space to their own specialised area allowing for all engraving operations, including the Laser Engraver and CNC machine, to be centralised and operated together - increasing speed and a quality finish.
