Heritage

In 1982, four employees of the J.W.Blewitt organisation took over the engraving and hot foil printing departments when the company ceased trading. Fine Cut was born and since those early days, growth has been rapid.

To meet increasing demand, the fledgling Fine Cut moved from a small workshop in Southwick to much larger premises on the Churchill Industrial Estate in Lancing. This enabled the expansion of the general engraving, bookbinding tools and hot foil printing activities, provided a more pleasant working environment and more space to strengthen the product range and encouraged development of the services offered.

In 1988, Fine Cut's commitment to the label and nameplate industry was enhanced by the formation of a sister company Fine Screen Limited. Dedicated to supplying labels, overlays and membrane switch panels, this part of the business enjoyed expansion in its own right, occupying a second unit on the Churchill Industrial Estate.

Space was always at a premium and as both companies expanded, the decision was made to combine both operations under one roof. Premises were located just 200m from the initial unit on the Churchill Estate, now re-named Lancing Business Park and in 1998, the move was made.

January 2001 saw the final combining of all the activities of the screen printing, engraving, hot foil printing and bookbinding tools manufacture by the formation of Fine Cut Graphic Imaging Limited.

Still privately owned and dedicated to providing the best solutions available and with a workforce of a high professional standard across all the disciplines, we are justifiably proud of our heritage. We know that our future depends on satisfying the demands of our customers not only today, but also tomorrow and into the future.
